I was approached today in a parking lot for a little spare change. I'm always startled when someone comes up to my car window. I motioned for the man to wait for a minute and as I gave him some money and part of my lunch, he asked me if I ever work with veterans with my therapy dog. I told him that I go to the VA every other Sunday. He then told me that he was a Marine and thanked me for what I do with my dog. In all honesty, it's me thanking him for his service. I do strongly feel that we need to give our veterans more support when they come home! – Catherine
