If you love meeting people who want to reach out and help others and who realize the great joy of having animals in their lives, then welcome to our hard working life-giving therapy animals in our organization. These canine companions work very hard with their human handlers as community volunteers who contribute their time and energy without expecting anything other than knowing how important they are in the service we provide and the success of our organization.

Ani is a sweet, goofball who loves to catch her tennis ball, swim, play with other dogs and take long walks. She likes to cuddle and have her ears scratched and in general just be close to people. She likes visiting and making friends with people of all ages. Ani is now enjoying life on the beach in Southern California.

Annie loves people of all ages and will cuddle with you anytime and anywhere. She has been visiting hospitals and schools since 2006. She is also her owner’s service dog and has traveled all over the country with him. Her favorite pastime is playing with her brother, Gus. Annie is a joyful friend and a loyal therapy-service partner.

Bette rescued us in 2018 at the age of about 9 months old. She was named after “Bette Davis, for her eyes. She “picked” Kris, and would not leave her side. She is with Gregg every day at work in his real estate office. On her days off, she loves to run for 18 holes of golf. Sweet Bette is very smart and affectionate. She enjoys kids and adults, and brings joy to every one she meets!

Blue Bayou hails from the high desert, and now lives in the beautiful forest of Lake Arrowhead; her second home is near Fort Huachuca, Arizona – where her ‘daddy’ is a soldier. Chelsea was rescued from the pound, as her prior owners could no longer care for her. It was obvious that she had never received the love or caring that a dog of her disposition richly deserved. She was first trained in basic manners, respect, and obedience. The trainer could see that she would make a great therapy dog as all Chelsea wanted to do was to make people relax and be happy.

Named after a fictional Harry Potter character, Dobby proves true to his name. He is loyal, helpful, and a very good listener. His favorite things in the world are eating, sleeping, and going wherever his handler goes. He’s a great cuddler but is always up for a game of fetch or tug-o-war.

Ginger is the sunshine in our family, and the light of our lives.

When friends and family visit, I warn them not to leave anything on the floor because Wallie will walk away with their socks, panties and shoes. He loves frisbee, going on walks and playing ball. He is a great cuddler, kisser and listener! He’ll be a friend for life with a good scratch behind his ears.
