Linda helped Catherine and Ansel learn about shaping behavior. They started slow with Ansel picking up an object and being rewarded for it. Once he got good at that, objects were moved further away. Rewards were given when the object was brought to Catherine. Overtime, a command was applied – in this case – “bring it.” This is a dog who has never liked to play retriever games.
